Mr. Johnny Tshutlhedi "JT"

Mr. Johnny Tshutlhedi is a distinguished mining and mineral resources management specialist with 31 years of expertise. He has worked with critical minerals such as Copper, Nickel, Cobalt PGEs, Silver, diamonds, and coal, excelling in exploration, resource evaluation, and mining operations.

Johnny currently serves as the Acting Chief Technical Officer at MDCB, where he leads the Technical Department, which encompasses Mineral Resources Management, Mining, and Mineral Processing. He provides strategic guidance to optimize investments, ensuring compliance with international standards and contributing to mine expansion projects.

His extensive career includes leadership positions at top mining companies, including Debswana, Morupule Coal Mine, African Copper Plc, Rio Tinto, and De Beers, where he led major exploration and expansion projects. His deep industry knowledge and strategic acumen have driven corporate growth and operational success.

Johnny holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Rhodes University, South Africa, and a BSc in Geology from the University of Botswana. He is a member of the South African Professional Natural Scientist (SACNASP) and an Associate Member of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
