Become an MDCB Registered Supplier in Botswana 

Register as a supplier with MDCB to access Botswana's mining tenders. Submit required documents like tax certificates and PPRA compliance. Streamline your registration process online

Complete the Supplier Assessment Questionnaire Form

Complete the supplier assessment questionnaire for KYC requirements and any other information to be utilized for the duration of enlistment in the MDCB vendor register.

Purpose: 

For KYC requirements and any other information to be utilized for the duration of enlistment in the MDCB vendor register.

Submission: 

Download, complete, and upload via the MDCB Portal, attach to the unique link provided, or physically submit.

Tax Compliance Certificate

Submit the tax clearance certificate to assess compliance with the Botswana Unified Revenue Services requirement that states Tax Clearance Certificates are a requirement for any person who bids for tenders offered by PPADB, Government departments/Ministries, and local government tender boards as from 1st July 2005.

Purpose: 

Evaluate tax compliance status in compliance with the governance principles.

Submission: 

Upload via the MDCB Portal, attach to the unique link provided, or physically submit.

Company Registration Credentials

Submit the certificate of incorporation and the company extract from the country of incorporation or CIPA.

Purpose: 

Ensure whether the company is duly registered with the company registration authority for purposes of transacting with only active juristic persons.

Submission: 

Upload via the MDCB Portal, attach to the unique link provided, or physically submit.

Public Procurement Regulatory Authority Registration

Submit PPRA contract registration codes.

Purpose: 

The PPRA registration is required for consideration for acquisitions under form tendering and the request for quotation threshold.

Submission: 

Upload via the MDCB Portal, attach to the unique link provided, or physically submit.

Signed Letter of Intent

Purpose: 

The letter of intent introduces the company, its scope, and acts as a cover for a detailed company profile.

Submission: 

Upload via the MDCB Portal, attach to the unique link provided, or physically submit.

National Identification Document

Submit identity documents for shareholders and beneficial owners.

Purpose: 

For KYC requirements in compliance with supply chain best practice and AFT CFT requirements

What happens after becoming a registered vendor?

MDCB utilises the supplier database as a source of potential partners for micro procurement, as well as request for quotation opportunities, as and when needed.

What should potential vendors do when their documents have expired?

Suppliers must resubmit updated copies of expired documents (e.g., tax certificates or PPRA certificates) to maintain compliance. For instance, PPRA certificates expire after a specified period and require re-application.

What happens after I register?

Once approved, your company will be:

  • Be listed in the MDCB vendor register.
  • Receive notifications about RFQs in your focus area.
  • Be eligible for contracts or purchase orders.
