Dr Larona Sethunya Teseletso "Dr L"

Dr. Larona Sethunya Teseletso is currently serving as the Head of Market Intelligence, Research, and Strategy at the Minerals Development Company Botswana. Dr. Teseletso leads high-impact initiatives that inform part of the investment origination, asset portfolio management, and strategic intelligence. Her expertise in market analytics, resource policy, and project finance is complemented by a strong command of data science and analytics. She has also held positions as an Exploration Geologist working on various commodities including copper, gold and manganese; and as Lecturer in Geology and Mineral Economics from the Botswana International University of Science and Technology. 

Dr. Larona holds Masters and Doctoral degree in Mineral Economics from Akita University in Japan and a Bachelors degree of Science in Geology from the University of Botswana. She is also a certified Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA). Dr Larona is a member of Women in Mining Botswana.
